Action Plan 2022

  • The 2022 Calotte Academy, with the title The global Arctic today: geopolitical stability vis-a-vis power politics, fossil economy vis-a-vis urgency of mitigation, focus on science vis-a-vis lessons to learn will take place 10 – 18 June 2022 in Sapmi, the European Arctic. Its sessions & excursions will be organized in Kiruna & Abisko, Tromsø & Alta, and Hetta, Inari & Rovaniemi. For more details visit: https://calotte-academy.com
  • The Arctic Yearbook is aiming to organize four scholarly forums with the authors of AY, and other leading researchers and policymakers in 2022-2024. The first one is planned at the Arctic Circle Greenland Forum in 27-29 August 2022 in Nuuk, including a session on Arctic globalization & geopolitics organized by the GlobalArctic Mission Council
  • The UArctic Congress 2022 is planned to take place on October 4-7, 2022 in Moscow. We have submitted a side meeting session (under the theme “Strengthening International Arctic Cooperation”) with the title: A Simulation on Arctic ‘Paradox’ – how to continue the ‘from confrontation to cooperation’ success story?
  • The Arctic Circle Assembly will be organized in 13-16 October 2022 in Reykjavik. The TN plans to organize 2-3 outbreak sessions.
