  • 4th CNARC Symposium “The Sustainable Arctic – Opportunities and Challenges of Globalization”, including Thematic Session: The GlobalArctic: Globalization and the Arctic”, in June 6-9, 2016 in Rovaniemi (Lassi H.);
     
  • ITS conference in June 19-25 in Bergen – submitted a panel proposal on the “Third Pole”: Science diplomacy (Rasmus B. and Marc L.) (tbc);
     
  • IPSA World Congress “Politics in a World of Inequality” in August 23-28 in Istanbul – submitted 2 panel proposals (Jennifer S.) (tbc);
     
  • UArctic Congress in September 12-16 in St. Petersburg – submitted 2 session proposals: NRF model session + Role Play Game on Oil and Gas Drilling in the Shelves of Arctic Sea, 1 panel proposal on Arctic geopolitics and security with 2-3 sessions (Andrian V., Lassi H.) (tbc);
     
  • 4th Arctic Circle in October 7-9, 2016 in Reykjavik – an aim to submit proposals on security panel and panel on Building Arctic Resilience coordinated (Lassi H.) (tbc);
     
  • The launch of the 2016 Arctic Yearbook in November-December somewhere (Heather, Joel, Lassi);
     
  • Workshop on “Climate change and Geopolitics in the Arctic” in Fall at USC in Los Angeles, Ca (Steve L.). The idea is to have an international and interdisciplinary workshop on climate change and geopolitics in the Arctic organized by USC and TN on Geopolitics and Security. We need most of the expertise of the TN on climate change, and those on geopolitics, and in addition we will invite a few experts on climate science and earth science from USC (tbc);
     
  • International workshop on the GlobalArctic at ISCSP, University of Lisbon in December 5-7 hosted (Sandra B., Mario P.) (tbc);
